This Privacy Policy explains what data Dividend Snowball collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Data we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a hash). When you use the Service, you may enter holdings, share counts, scenarios, and bill amounts. This is content you create, and it belongs to you.

We may collect basic technical information such as browser type and device, used only to keep the Service working. We do not connect to your brokerage and never receive your brokerage credentials.

Your holdings are never used for analytics

Your portfolio holdings, share counts, and portfolio values are never used for analytics, advertising, or shared with third parties for marketing. They are used only to show your own portfolio within your account.

Anonymous usage analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics, such as which features are used most often, to improve the Service. These statistics are not linked to your identity or your holdings. You can turn anonymous usage analytics off at any time in Settings.

How we store data

Your account data is stored on our hosting provider's infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however.

Data export and deletion

You can export your data from the Service. You can delete your account and its associated data from Settings at any time.

Cookies

The Service uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. If analytics are enabled, analytics tools may set their own cookies. You can disable analytics in Settings or in your browser.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
